Hi everyone I have recently started my Ford F1 Project in March. I bought this truck while on my second deployment in Afghanistan with the intention of turning it into my daily driver. Money wise I want to keep it under 15k but will see if that happens. For the chassis I am going with a 1984 Jag IFS front and a Ford 8.8 Rear with a triangulated 4 link, all running on air bags. I know lot of you guys don't like them but I wanted to sit low when parked and have good ride height to clear all the damn pot holes. For the brakes I got a kit from CCP to keep my original pedal but get power brakes and keep my firewall clear. Now the drive train (Im fully prepared to get flamed for this..haha) I am going with a chevy 350 with a top end kit from summit, and a HD 700r4 from Monster tranny. Like I said before I have a 8.8in rear out of a 4x4 explorer with 3.73 gears and limited slip. Im sure Im forgetting some stuff but Ill keep pictures of my project coming as I go.

Sounds like my project but I have a 46' Binder. I installed an 87' XJ6 IFS and just removed the front coils as I plan on bags as well. I'm running a SBC 327/700R4 and also have an Explorer 8.8 out back. I'm just running leaf spring in the back for now. I have the Jag rear I want to use down the road so I'm keeping the rear simple until I can afford to swap in the Jag IRS. I've never used bags so I have no clue how to set it up. The bag mounting won't be an issue but i have no clue what I need to operate them. I know I need a tank, compressor, valves.... I just don't know what actual types and setups I need so I will be following your thread.

For the rear end I made my own step notches using 2x4 1/8in wall box tubing and all brackets are made of 3/16 in steel plate

I just finished bagging my Jag front end. There are two pages of pics showing how I did mine on this thread. The top and bottom plates of the spring pockets of the Jag IFS are angled away from each other. I made my mounts to take away that angle so the bags are straight up and down and the mounting surfaces are parrallel with each other. Worked great. At the end of the thread you will see my progress on the shock towers. Good luck and post up your progress.
