    I have this trans dapt housing and it has JC-25 stamped on it. From previous threads it looks like JC is for Olds which I pretty much new but it is the 25 that is of interest to me. Anyone got any old trans dapt catalog that will tell us what you are suppose to use with this adapter for fork, throw out bearing and disc. I know in the day they often spelled out the parts required to mary all this stuff together.

    Can you put up a pic of front and back? Someone will know exactly what it is. I am thinking someone put up a trans-dapt Olds in the last few weeks, and I think with a pic. I don't recall which trans but I believe it was Chevy.

    I did a search...it was your old thread :)

    Some people here have some old sales papers from speed shops, but you would likely need the installation instructions for detailed info.

    *******************************************************************

    I have found my Trans Dapt Catalog! (dated 1976)

    The JC is Olds engine, '49-'64, and the 25 is Chevy transmission, '55 up.

    For all adaptors #25, use Chevrolet throwout lever ('fork') #839240;
    Chev Ball Pivot #8869561;
    GMC throwout brg #2387503.
    If using Chevrolet DIAPHRAGM PRESSURE PLATE, use Chev. throwout brg. #907403.
    Pilot bearing is listed with a Trans Dapt #695007, (may be cross-referenced at your local clutch/brake rebuilder's or checked with an Olds part#, for a stick type Olds '49-'64.

    A chevrolet clutch disc must be used for the relative input shaft spline. Match clutch disc with pressure plate; Everything behind Olds flywheel is Chevrolet, pure & simple.

    Yep, that was me before but got looking at all the stuff that came with this find and realized things looked a little odd. Searched an earlier thread and saw where there was a bunch of spec stuff recommended by Trans dapt on another adapter. Figured someone would have a book on these adapters. This helps a lot and will get me moving in the right direction. Nothing like the HAMB for getting answers. Thanks a bunch. Walt:)

    Mike in a****er was a big help. I just finished putting my trans dapt bellhousing on a nailhead what I used was a 11" diaphragm with Timken bearing # 614037 (that is the tall throw out bearing) and instead of using the old used fork from 47 to 59 as Mike found in his catalog, I opted for a NOS Chevy truck fork # 3843315. Thanks for all the info it was very helpful. Kevin
