My name is Don, joined here awhile back. Been reading some of your posts, very cool. I'm looking forward to build my first rat rod. I'm trying to acquire some of the tools a person needs to build one of these awesome rides. I early retire next summer, so the build will more then likely start then. It's great to be aboard here and to learn from the the seasoned best. ratrod nuts
You wrote..." Been reading some of your posts, very cool". How could you possibly miss seeing that rat rods are considered ****boxes here? And here you go, in your very first post, and tell us that is what you are planning to build. I recommend that you go back and edit that posting. Tell us you are building a hot rod or jalopy (not the same as a rat rod. Do that and you'll be welcome here. Otherwise, it'll be a very bumpy ride. Oh, yeah, your ID isn't going to go over to well either.
Rrs not really welcome here! No spiderwebs, Maltese crosses, wrenches for drag links, mountain dew bottles for rad overflows. No booger welded stop sign floorboards with lawn chairs bungee corded in for seats! No ****, I've seen all of that...I wouldn't even go for a ride in the parking lot in one of those death traps!
Hey Don, Sounds like yer heart is in the right place, ya just need a little edumacation about the H.A.M.B., school starts right here...........Change yer moniker and fergit about them rats, they're just accidents waiting to happen.
Welcome!! just a note the RR thing was a trend, its over!!you can build a rod. just don't call it a RR! its a Hot Rod! and don't do stupid **** to it. Why??? because it reflects bad on us Hot Rodders. How can i help? need a project car?? have a few. we are almost neighbors
