Merc Man dont dog contarctors that rent stuff all the money I made doing hardwood floors bought cars not tools (which I regret now). Now that I'm doing alot of side jobs I have to rent all the stuff. You can ask ****** Tonker, which I havent seen on here in a while, I do excellent work.[/QUOTE] I don't doubt your abilities...I'm sorry for making a "blanket" statement like that...I apologize...in hindsight, I realize that that's not cool and I too would be the guy renting stuff if I needed specific things done...what I was thinking of in my head was the guy who claims he has a business, talks it all up and whatnot, rents stuff, and abuses it...I'm sure it's the 1% ers that ruined it for me... Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone...
Now that reminds of the joke about the guy in the bar sitting next to an old drunk............................
If you went with the dummy tank idea, IPECAC (you can get it from the pharmacy) is a buck or two and produces an instantaneous reaction. Mix with some water and he or she will be puking for at least half an hour. But the horn or video idea is the safest route to go. Anything else will make you liable. My dad used to call our siphon hose the "Arkansas Credit Card".
Well, to put things in perspective; here in Sweden the gas costs about $5.20/gallon, approx. $3.64 of that are taxes!!! It's great to have to go 56 miles (one way) to get to work then.
will if the filler neck is like most older cars that attaches with a rubber section why not simpley get some co**** screen (holes small enough to keep a hose out) and place it on the stub on the tank before you slide the neck rubber coupler on. this keeps the hose from getting in the tank to pick up anything and costs like $1
leave a gas can lying around full of gas and sugar, or something else harmfull. let them steal a can of gas that will ruin there motor.
I just bought this off of Ebay... It might do the trick. It even has a special tool, so, nobody can swipe your ****. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4559025590 The same guy sells these, too. JOE
The idea of putting a metal screen in the bottom of the filler neck is the best way to go. I have one in my car. A hose will only go in bout 8 inches now.
