anyone know any TRICKS or the right way to remove the 4 pc rear gl*** from a 50 starlight without breakin the gl*** or messin-up the rubber. i'm afraid new repro rubber wont fit as good ? i have an extra set of gl*** but i dont want to break a set just to pull the rubber.

Usual method is to cut the rubber and save the gl***. Old rubber is no good anyway, it is usually dried out and cracked or at least so dried out it will not seal if used on another car.

A new seal kit is available fro Studebaker international. It fits like original and is a one piece part. I restored a a 50 starlight coupe and used their kit. No complaints, just take your time. If I remember the gl*** comes out from the inside,so be ready to catch it or have someone help. They also sell the front one piece v curved windshield. Pricy to ship, but it too fit like original.
