1936 Ford Cabriolet Carson top, gimme the DIRT

I bought this car this weekend, I have an old photo of it in black and white I will add it later. The black and white photo has cali plates, the shift knob says Iowa. If anyone knows the car looking for the history.

Very nice car! Hope someone enjoys the car finally. Seems it has been doing a whole lot of sitting since 38zephyr rebuilt it 2 years ago. I wanted it bad when it was on eBay and was shocked at what it sold for. I just couldn't come up with the funds with 3 other builds going on.

 

I will drive it, it drives real nice, it has a small water pump issue it seems but we will get that sorted out. I have 25 cars now so I cant drive them all a ton but I do drive something different most every day

 

Got the car out on the first long run, wokred out very nice, we had to rebuild the carbs fix the distributor add a new coil new spark plugs and wires and add in 3 fuel filters, to make it run good but now its champion. The door handle wont open the door on drivers side and the mercury temp guage stopped responding, but those are minor details, what a great car !!

I remember following the build when the car was done and liking it than and I followed it on Ebay and it's one of my Favorite 36 Fords of all time.

It's one of the cars that has just about made me decide to build a 35 or 6 to put my flathead in rather than a Model A.

That car is my dream, it haunts me. I hope you dont change a thing but the number on the odometer.

 

One of the best parts for me is the stance....not the broken spring look, it helps enhance everything about that car...beautiful.

 

Thanks everyone, it is exactly what I wanted, don't need to change anything, had a few hiccups with the electrics and the carbs, but we got that all dials and she is just good to take for rides any time now

 

Car is awesome.....any info on the top on it? Is it an old top or newly made?
