I couldn't find flipper caps that would fit my wheels, when I did find flipper caps, I bought! I cut the mounting ring off the caps that do fit my wheels and fit them to the flipper caps. I think they look fine but am asking for others oponions. Do they stick out to far? I couldn't get the mounting rings to be in farther on the flipper caps in case that's your oponion.
I hear ya. I am just driving it! Besides, It needs more than the wheel wells painted! LOL I guess I'll continue with the other cap. Thanks everyone!
I think you'd better check with the Nannies that decided knock-offs were "too dangerous" for cars just about 1967.
I remember in 1953 Louie Fahrberger and his pals had flippers like these on their '39s & '40s. I really dug 'em, 'cause they stuck out far enough you could see 'em from all angles! These look just like what the guys ran... I was 11, already a HRM subscriber, and just devoured anything 'Hot Rod' or 'Custom' that I was lucky enough to see up close. Louie worked on the corner at the Shell station, so I ogled his car up close daily!
