Thanks again!!.. this is why I love this place!
He says he contacted two different shippers that deal with Finland and it wil ltake two days for them to get back to him and he will then contact me. Course he said he wasnt a scammer or ********ter as well.. but I really had no idea how people do oversea deals so I figured Id ask for those with first hand experience. Glad I did!
I already offered to take pictures of any part he wishes and gave him a pretty good low down on the car and sent some more pictures. Though it be nice to sell the car, I would rather deal face to face, so they can look it over good in person, that way everything is said and done right then. I know I would be nervous as hell shipping a car I didnt see first hand, only in pictures. Now that I got a better idea of what to do I feel a bit more comfortable doign something like this, then before. Again Thanks alot!

i have bought a lot of vehicles out of the united states over the last 10 years or so..what i do is look up the sellers address on google earth and check out there location and you can get a good indication of their character from the visual of their home..on 3 occasions i could actually see the vehicle i was buying parked in their garage..they had their garage doors open when streetview cameras were filming..as most have said the seller has nothing to lose, we buyers are the ones taking the risk..

Sounds like you dodged another fake Pay-Pal scammer. The very 1st sign of a scam is when you put your phone no. in the ad and only get e-mail responces. Just sent some 55 Packard parts to Australia. Guy called the no. and we made the deal. Western Union,Pay-Pal are about as safe as crossing the interstate blindfolded.

That does not mean he was a scammer though.

If you look at ebay or elsewhere, they say NEVER pay by wire for a car. That's because it can't be retracted, even if the deal ended up being a scam.

So, my banker tells me never pay by wire for a long distance car that I can't pick up in person, but then she said to only accept a wire if I was selling one.

So, it comes down to which person is willing to take a risk, even on a deal that somehow is proven not to be a scam beforehand.
