Just about 3/4 of the way through... Lots of singles, a couple of pairs, few full sets of four. It's looking like I'll be selling them off in pairs for the most part. Hooooo boy...

It looks like you are going to be a bit busy for a while.

Brother, you don't know the half of it...
Got to bed (er, couch) around 4:30 AM this morning. Still don't have everything measured, verified, cataloged, grouped, etc. I went back down this morning to get more (I'm a glutton for punishment) but my buddy got stuck at his mill (that's another story all together...) and then had to run back down to HIS junkyard (I say junkyard, but I haven't seen any "junk" as of yet... and more GD Hemi cars than you would know what to do with), so I headed home empty-handed. I'll be going back down for the second load on Sunday.

Friends, please be patient. Believe me when I say I'd like to sell these things and get them out the door as quickly as y'all would like to get your hands on them, but I want to be sure that I'm selling exactly what it is I say it is. I don't want to tell anyone I have something I don't, and that's going to take me a little time to figure out. The list is growing, and I'll be adding some REAL nice stuff to it Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/January, so just stick around and I'll try to kepp y'all in the loop. I will probably be selling pairs of wheels rather than sets, and I'll probably be listing them on www.pre73auto.com just to keep it fair to everyone. I wish I could put NOS wheels on ALL your cars, but I haven't got THAT many.

Dude... I won't even pretend that I'm not envious. Congrats to you, lots of rewarding work ahead. With the price of aluminum these days I'm glad that pile didn't end up at the scrapyard.

The only way that would have happened would be if my buddy had passed away in his sleep unexpectedly prior to him showing me these wheels. A loooooooong time ago, he actually bought all these wheels for his inventory. He knows what they're worth, and he would have had to have been seriously hard-up for some scratch before he would scrap them. He ain't exactly hurtin' for dough, but he wasn't about to GIVE them away either. He pretty much knows what he's sitting on. I'm just the lucky guy who gets to sort through 'em, measure 'em, store 'em, sell 'em, ship 'em... LOL Lucky me.

  12. The pre73auto.com website is an auction site you have to sign up for?

Not sure what the prerequisites are for membership, but it's owned and run by a fellow HAMBer! In fact, he's posted in this thread a few times! ;)

I've been an eBay seller for a looooooong time, but recently eBay has been making it harder and harder to stay with them. I'm tired of paying out $600/month in seller fees. That's a LOT of money over the course of a year. Sites like pre73auto are cropping up in protest to the Corporate conglomerates that have mandated what we buy, where we buy, and what it will cost us to sell for far too long. I for one will support these upshoot dotcoms (I have one on the way myself) and hope that others will follow. Ebay was just a little bitty auction site at one time, too.

It works great, too. Thing is, while the Dawn takes the grease and shit off the intake, APPARENTLY it isn't meant to be used in the dishwasher.:eek::confused: It was like some shit you see in the movies... FOAM just pouring out from every edge of the DW, my wife freaking out, the dog slipping in it and crashing into the cabinets... Then when she opens the door to try to figure out what the problem was, she pulls the bin out to reveal a clean, steaming Edelbrock Performer RPM 460 intake.

I never heard a woman make that sound, but I'm sure if I could have recorded it in that moment Wes Craven would want to use it in his next movie. :D

I've only got one Tru-Spoke, unfortunately. I'm not keeping ANY for my personal use. I've already got 15" Wire Mags on my OT '66, and I scored a real nice set of Cragar look-alikes for my '53 at a salvage yard on Monday. I'm going to post EVERYTHING I've got as far as size, style, and lug pattern in the classified section here on the HAMB so that you will know whether or not I even have what you need, but they will actually be able to be purchased through the web site I mentioned above. I've got too many people asking for the same sizes and the only fair way to do it is, unfortunately, electronically.

Let me bring the second load up from the warehouse on Sunday and get everything paired up, and once I've got a good solid inventory list I will post what I have. I'd love to post what I have right now, but there are too many "singles", and I'm sure I will be able to make more "pairs" after Sunday. Fair enough?

See? I'm good. I'm happy with what I've got. The "Vintage Stash" is all y'all's, none for me, thanks.

I know you're proabably still neck deep in aluminum trying to figure out what you've got, but I'd be interested in 15" x 6" to 15" x 7" - 5 lug on 4 3/4" if you have them. I'd also prefer the Shelby 500's to match my rears, but any 5 slot / kidney bean would be worth looking it...if you end up getting photos. I'll look for you in the classified section.

Man I really appreciate the support. The reasons you mention are what drove me to start the site in the first place. These guys are all about the money and could give a rats ass about the person selling or buying. I think the total opposite, and want the buyer & seller to be happy with the transaction first and foremost. Thanks again Bro.
I'm still jealous that you found that warehouse full of gold before me! LOL

Registration is required only to try and help protect the sellers from fraud.
Although anyone can still sign up, it helps us identify which ones are trying to rip people off.
It was originally set up so that a paypal address was required for registration but that's just giving into the corporate hold thing they have going on so I decided against it.
I want to make it a site that people can trust so if you think something feels sketchy about it please let me know.

No problem, bro. I hope you don't mind that I plan to flood your site with NOS vintage wheels here before too long... LOL.

Yes, "seller protection" is just a term eBay throws around in hopes that we continue to get that warm fuzzy feeling just aft of our balls, though there IS NO SELLER PROTECTION. I had $380 sucked out of my account two weeks ago because some French guy decided to claim he never received a '68 Eldo dash pad. I had delivery confirmation, but he denied it. Ebay sided with him.

Like I said, MY site (www.FullCircleVintageAutoParts.com) is still in the works. I'll be more than happy to promote yours, Carl.

  25. No problems, I dont think there is anything sketchy at all. If the mags were up for sale at a set price I would be interested. But if they are going to be put up for sale on a bid basis, then I wont be interested.

I do like your site, it looks great. Im just one of those guys that prefers to see something at a set price and if I like it I buy.

I can respect that. Now whether he sets a buy it now price or not will be up to him. He has the option to list it either way.
Thanks for your input on the site. I greatly appreciate it.

I'm planning to list them as pairs, as stated earlier, and I'd like to set a Buy It Now on each pair. Obviously, the more highly sought after pairs will be set higher than others. NONE of them are going to be outrageously priced. That being said, I can't just give them away, either. In all honesty, I will have a TON of work into moving these things before it's all done. I'm making a SMALL (believe me... I mean SMALL) percentage of the profit from each sale as a "commission" for my time and efforts. Therefore, I'm motivated to get the best price for them I can. If I make a few bucks, cool. If I break even (after driving my ass back and forth a million times to pick up loads of wheels), cool. I wasn't GIVEN the wheels, and the money gotten for them isn't going into MY pocket. I have to give that over to the owner of the wheels. I'm still quite honored that he would entrust me with the sale of these wheels.

OK, let's say I have a pair of 15x10 with a 5 on 4.75 pattern NOS Shelby Cal 500 slots. (Hypothetically, of course. I will not commit to any sizes until I have them ALL inventoried.) What do you think would be a fair asking price for a BIN? I'm trying to get an idea of what y'all are thinking is too high or too low.

Appliance Wire Mags, 14x8 with a 5 on 4.50 lug pattern. Give me a clue! I'm used to listing things on eBay and watching people fight over it, often to my surprise. I've never had Xnumber of NOS wheels to dispose of. I haven't a clue as to what they're worth to someone who needs them.

So HAMBers, speak up! What would YOU pay for a PAIR of vintage NOS wheels you're interested in?
