Any info on this one? Kind of looks like a plymouth hood ornament. Its interesting that its got a spot light. I would have guessed it was a police car at first.

Don't forget Towser and Tallulah, along with Carmen the nurse were there with Axel in his treehouse.

From this angle Hay Street Methodist Church still looks just like this. Sits at the corner of Hay Street and Ray Avenue.

  16. It is a DKW F89 4-seat-conv., not many survived, really rare, it is the first streamlined DKW (the 9 in 89) but still has the 2-cylinder engine from F8 models, available with 3- or 4-speed-gearbox.. 23 hp, drove it once, the later 3-cyl-engine was a big improvement, the were fast 'n smooth, but the double cyl. were just lame.. the convertibles were built by Hebmüller (think you know the famous Beetle Roadsters), and after factory burned down (think t'was 51) Karmann took over the production.. there were also the more elegant 2-seater-conv. and for me a hard-to-beat 2-seater-coupe! here a similar looking 3-cyl. F91 2-seats-conv., it was found and restored in my former hometown Hamburg:

and my favorite, the F91-2-seats-coupe, 3-cyl, 2-stroke, 34hp, today three are known to exist, my former boss owns one in terrible condition, maybe i give him a call next days to ask for the latest price...

this one is a RHD, lives in South Africa. the one-of-one RHD-2-seats-conv.(Karmann) was restored by me several years ago and still exists i think somewhere at river Rhein, down south.

I think the number plates may be Dutch.

    Mart.

  18. Yep, you're right, the plates are dutch, the car is prob. built by GM Biel (Swiss) or GM Antwerpen (Belgium), the european factories did often convert imported cars to sunroofers or other specialities, damn mainland europeans..;)
