I have a brand new Offenhauser 6x2 intake for a 409. I have 6 Strombergs and the bases do not match up with the holes on the intake. Can someone tell me what's going on here. Is there a certain base I am suppose to use with these carbs? I know there is different kinds and I believe the ones I have are the EE1's.

On a 409, you want Rochester 2 GC's. A four bolt base. Period correct.

And the 2 GCs came in two sizes, small and large base. Most of these manifolds are configured for the small base pattern if 4 bolt style.

If three bolt style it should be one of the models Kid mentioned above.

It's 3 bolt base and obviously the front lines up but the back two do not. I can't figure out how the hell to get pics on the HAMB and how would I take a pic of that anyway. It doesn't make sense. Must be why I got the intake for so cheap.

Well this 409 is going in a 32 Ford Pickup so this carb setup is period correct.

How much is it off by? And in which directions? Is there room to redrill and tap the holes?
