Really cool! Cheater slick like I had on my 1961 Ventura in Milwaukee back in the day. Looks good blue. Thanks for the old pix.
What a great story and car. I sure hope you post a picture of your Dad's first ride, in the rebuilt rod.
I am building a 1929 in tribute for my Dad as he p***ed away 6 years ago . The fact you get to rebuild your Dad's car together is a memory you will always hold close to your heart . Enjoy every minute you spend together I know I did . Rob
Summers over back to working on the car. I finished the steering wheel and painted it gold to match the vinyl that I picked out for the interior. Been working on the fuel lines and linkage. I got the headers back and they are ready to install. Hopefully ready to start in a month. Trying to get motivated to finish it for next year.
I thought I would post a few pics of the dash and headers and fire wall. I had the upolstery guy over to measure and show samples. Picked out the gold and white as close to what my dad could remember using 50 years ago. Kind of early for upolstery but I need vinyl for the exterior around the cowl and grill white vinyl can't finish the fire wall without this. I have to finish the fire wall clutch brake pedal plumbing and fuel line before I can finish inside.
The Holidays are over. Time to get back in the garage. I went to the upholsterer to get the vinyl for the cowl. I wrapped the edge of the cowl with a white vinyl and mounted the wood firewall got the brake and clutch lines run. I hope to be wiring by the end of the week.
The interior guy stopped by with the door panels. Bright feels like i'm sitting in a christmas tree bulb. Well thats the way it was in 1960
