Took my 8 Year old Grandson to a car show up in Blair Ne today. It was neat to see some of the cars he was interested in. He also took all the pictures except of course the first one which he was in. I realize the last picture was non traditional. He picked all these pictures all by himself. Maybe I will have someone to take over my hobby someday. Mark
Your a great grandpa taking him to a show , you guys are the reason I take a car to the show. He really looks happy, quality time spent, thanks for sharing.
He's got a good eye for that bullet nose Stude! I spent the night in Blair back in '95 driving my OT impala from Denver to Chicago on the old roads.
Thats great, My 6 year old grandson has went with his dad and I to the ECTA running at Wilmington Ohio, both times I have went. He rides in my hot rod, while his dad drives his alone. Only thing is he likes the motorcycles over the cars!!
when i was 16 i went junkyarding with gramps..we spent 2 days just bumming thru southern Missouri and north east arkansas....it was a great time, and i wish i would have been smart enought to do it more..i absolutely cherrish those memories today..it was just something to do back then.. yours will rember it for the rest of his life..good job
Keep taking him and I'll keep taking the car. This is how we can keep this hobby alive. Great job grandpa!
Great photos for an 8 year old, subject is nicely centered and I bet he had to wait for people to clear out of the way before taking the shot. I started taking photos at car shows when I was 10, met some great people along the way and it was the start of the hobby I enjoy now. Thanks for the post. Bob
Can't wait till my grandson can go and enjoy it. When he does something worth a reward he always gets to pick out a new Hot Wheel when we go to Wally World. Rarely does he pick something out that isn't an old body style or "souped up" at least. I'd say he's on the right track for a 3 year old. 48 Poncho
AJ said he liked the Motorcycles but you see the pictures are of the cars. There were newer cars there but he liked the older ones.
Very nice, he will remember that for a long to come. My grandfather used to take me too small car shows at a little burger joint in our hometown. (Rudys Bean Pot Tujunga, Ca) Even know it was small I remember all the old stories my grandfather used to tell me...
You are not only creating priceless memories for both you and your grandson, but you are spreading the Gospel to the future generations of this hobby/sport. It is important that we do all of the above to keep this tradition and this American Folk Art alive...Thanks!
A couple more pictures he took. By the way I thought this was funny, he rode up with me in my 70 Monte and he looked at the window crank and asked me what that was. He spent the rest of the morning rolling the windows up and down
