We lost Chris Adams last night to a brain aruerism. Chris was a member of the Cleveland chapter of the Rumblers CC. Many of you might have been familiar with Chris's powder blue with white flamed 49 Ford. This was obviously so unexpected and shocking.
Chris had recently pulled the motor out of his car to have some machine work done. Some of us would like to get a motor back into his car for the funeral. Unfortunetely the machine work will not be done in time. I'm looking to borrow a 56-58 Caddy 365 (I know this is more difficult than a SBC but it's what the car is set up for). If anyone knows of anyone who may have one, that runs, that we could use that would be great.
email me at koenigsmark@ppg.com if you can help.
    Thanks and RIP Chris.

My prayers go out. My wife is a 14 year survivor of a cerebral aneurysm, and it changed her life forever.

  15. I am sorry for your loss as well.

I wish I had a cad to loan you. I have a big olds that i could ***emble tonight and would if it would help but I doubt that it will fill the bill.

Just for information a stude V-8 from the 50s should be almost a bolt in if you can find one of those instead.

I too offer my condolences to you, and to his family for this tragedy.

As a side note, as it is such a short notice to find and install a engine in his car. You may consider, putting his car on a open trailer, and having it towed behind. IMO it would be just as appropriate as being driven.

While I hope you are able to score an engine and get the car running in time, it sure is short notice to do something like that. The trailer idea Hellraiser suggested might be the best way to go and maybe even better, as your friend would have been the last one to ever drive the car. It might be more appropriate and respectful that way.

Thanks for all the kind words. Chris will be greatly missed.
I've also thought about the trailer idea. It may be the way to go.

Chris was a good one, I am in shock. Don't have a Caddi, let me know if I can help some other way.

  30. I'd like to recommend that everyone share this information on their other forms of "social media". If any of you guys have a Facebook account, or any of that stuff, it may help the word spread quicker.

My condolences for your loss, and I hope you find what you are after.
