ok. I was offered To Packerbaker Clipper 4 door wagons for 800... Other then the tail lamps is it worth it? 3 good tail lamps, one broken lens. I would only be buying them to part out.
Do either of them have a good 289 V8? Or a supercharger setup? I'm guessing you could do okay selling that stuff, and trim to restorers.
What year are the Packards ? Would you want to sell a complete car ? I am in the Packard clubs both in Texas and International and there may be some buyers for your cars. Could probably turn a decent return on your money. If you have access to the cars, maybe you could could pull some VIN and anti theft numbers off of them. Just a suggestion......... HotRod
a lot cheaper going out then in(so they dont go back south empty)... but yes. shipping is a bit spendy... Byut us flat rate is still the same.
Those are RARE cars and would make great street cruisers. Don't scrap them if you can help it. Is there any chance they are savable? This Packard site is the place to offer them for sale. You would probably do better to sell them in one piece. The parts are valuable but with so few around it would take forever to sell them. http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=8 There are other Packard sites and Studebaker too. It would be a shame to scrap them if someone can use them.
You never know though.....if its a model or low production numbered car, you would be surprised at what guys will spend on them. If you could get the numbers and maybe some pics, I'll shop them out for you down here. No strings....just helpin out another HAMBer. Paying it forward so to speak. I've had some stuff gibven to me and sold dirt cheap for my 51 Patrician 400. I gave my 51 Packard 200 to my buddy in Houston so he had a project to work on. We are going to meet up at the LSRU 2013 with the Packards. Anyway.....let me know if I can help. I'd hate to see them go to a crusher if we could save them. HotRod
FYI, according to "50 years of american automobile history" there is no listing for a wagon in 1956. 1957is listed production was 869. 1958 listed, 159 produced.
