Those pictures are priceless. You'll have to retake them 20 years from now for a great comparison. :)

Layed some lines on the generator the other night so I can practice pin striping.

I think your pinstriping looks killer on the old gal.

    Keep up the good work!

Looks to me like the example he posted using the Isuzu ch***is is spot on, just right in other words. If it works what's wrong with it ?

  10. Thank you so much for the kind words. I'd like to think I found the secret in using the Isuzu frames under these 41-46 Chevy trucks and I'd like to share that knowledge. Gary "ONE CRUSTY ONE"

Cool truck, you will get all kinds of thumbs ups and old guys flagging you down to tell you about their old truck, they all had one. Fix it and drive it till the wheels fall off!

  12. one cool guy that stopped to chat about my old truck last weekend was Dave Reichert running for congress. Dave is better know for being the Detective to solve "THE GREEN RIVER MURDERS".

Cool truck. I have a 46 I just finished the Hot Rod Power Tour in. Drove from Dallas to Detroit and back to Dallas. Had a blast! Was p***ing a guy on a two lane highway and my co driver said The GPS said I was runnin 90, and he thought I better slow down a bit! Stock ones are cool, but not much fun to drive unless you like being all over the road, and going about 55 or so.

  18. Tom, I've never worked with Nissan 6 lug ch***is. Perhaps you should try it and be the first guy to sort it out.
I can tell you what I've learned from using Isuzu ch***is, I must like them, I only have 6 of them right now. Gary

  19. hes right a 4.11 gear ratio and a 216 is not very nice to drive

Interesting, not strictly trad, but then again nothing is more trad than taking something better and putting it in a cooler car. There are lots of rusted out Japanese SUVs and trucks with good frames and drivelines out there. may as well recycle them. Drove a diesel Isuzu suv a couple years ago.. not high performance, but it was okay.

I pulled all the interior panels last night so we can start preping them for paint.

I don't have the agility/ability I had just a couple years ago, but
I can put my oldest son on it. He has my old 94' hardbody I purchased new. All original and the R-12 A/C is still cold.
He hit a dog with it while doing about 60 mph and it could use a facelift. An antique might just be the answer. Tom S.

Looks great. However, judging from the shape of that grill I would have done the brakes first! LOL
