Hot Rods SBC in 37 Ford

Can someone tell me if its possible to put a SBC in a 37 ford without having to cut the firewall? I have heard a short water pump and small distributor might be enough to avoid cutting the firewall...appreciate all comments!

 

Mine fits fine without any change to the firewall. MSD distributor has plenty of clearance.

 

Yes, with a short pump. No firewall mods needed.

 

mine fit like a glove with a short pump like weedburner40 said...although it was a ***** to work out the radiator and fan...I will eventually change my firewall out for more room.

 

Mine fits fine (37 Coupe, 327). Small body PerTronix Distributor. Plenty of room for radiator and fan (mine has electric but mechanical would fit.) Patriot long tube headers as well.

Why don,t you either put a ford mill in it or go find a chevy body and ch***is. I guess you only have a limited budget so go ahead and get that walmart motor..
