I ask for help on buying a pair of 32 fenders & DMA354 on here sold me the pair he had stashed. These babys never been on a car. Anyway Dave went way out of his way to accommodate me by bubble w****** them,getting a frig box & packing & delivering them to the dog house/station. I used busfreighter(greyhound shipper) & they only cost $68.00 with 1000.00 ins to ship from Pittsburgh to Ontario,Ore. get this Dave droped them off 6/11/12 & I got them @ 8AM this morning 6/14/12 in perfect condition. You can say what you want about greyhound but I will use them all I can. DAVE I want to thank you for being so patient & going out of your way to help me. You are a#1 standup guy. I missed LARS this year due the repairs from hitting the **** last year on my way to LARS but will setting my sites on it next year. Pics are of the received fenders & oh yeah he threw in the splash apron too.
Just a update from my CRS problem. heh heh he The gal @ the bus terminal said she had just sent a 32 fender back to Bend, Ore as the shipper had just wrapped it with shrink wrap & told them to pack it better as a 32 fender deserved more respect than that. It was supposed to be shipped to N. Carolina. Chalk a couple up for Greyhound.
Nice to read a post about a deal that worked well for both of you! I've used Greyhound to ship stuff and had very good luck with it. It really doesn't take long to pack stuff correctly, I scronge around for used bubble wrap and have a good years supply. Check any shop that sells kayacks or sports supplies, the local body shop always has large boxes thay are happy to give away. Bob

Another gold star for the dog. I have had good luck with good prices on large bulky parts. Last was a very large tailgate from Florida to Oregon. I think it was around $75.
My nearest dawg house is 35 miles away in Worcester, MA. I have taken stuff there to be shipped. I felt like they expected me to apologize for disturbing them.
I also had an excellent experience recently with sending a '36 Ford rear fender from Upstate, NY to California. Five days and $67.60. The fender arrived as shipped. Fed-Ex and UPS were both in the $215.00 range. I'd use Greyhound in a minute. The only thing you have to be careful about, is that not all Greyhound terminals will accept large pieces. Some of the terminals are little more than storefronts and don't have the room to store big items.
When shipping by the dog BE SURE TO USE BUS FREIGHTER. Greyhound regular will only insure up to 300 where bus freighter insures up to 1000 & for a extra fee will pickup @ your address & I believe the rates are better. Best to check with them. I don't work for any of them just a happy customer.
