When I finally get around to paint, the black primer look, will be probably caterpillar flat black, I will also try for a single stage Ureathane or am Imron.....

The reason I would hoose single stage Ureathane, is I tried it on my sons 4x4 which was his first vehicle, it heals up real well while in the woods, from tree branch s****es, and rocks...

I'd probably go with the same brand and same system on the primer as you are using with the gloss black paint. I think most of the major car paint outfits have primer in red, light grey, dark grey and black.

  4. good advise, I used two different brands before and had to strip it all off and redo it.. The paint and primer reacted and it wouldnt allow the paint to dry.
