58 Edsel disc brakes

looking for a spindle to put disc brakes on a 1958 Edsel here 69-70 mustang will work on ford but what about the Edsel know it will change the lug pattern

 

it a pacer small edsel

 

the mustang will be the same bolt pattern. i'm looking for the same info as you so i'll be watching this

 

Granada/Monarch

 

granada spindles will work but remember, bolt pattern on a 58 edsel is not the same as all ford. you might check into old LTD spindles.bolt pattern on a 58 edsel (other than wagons)is 5 on 5...not 5 on 4.5". Mustang does NOT have the same pattern.

 

We usually just re-drill the bolt pattern for the studs when using Granada rotors, you will have to check the hub hole diameter on your rims if there stock so they work with the hub on the rotor if you use the Granada set up.

 

bolt patter does not matter on mine will be installing aftermarket axles when we narrow the rear end
any thing other then Granada they are getting harder to find around here took awhile to find the last set for the 53
