I had over 80 VW's and never had ANY catch fire. AND...if I ever find another Notchback I can afford,I'M BUYING IT!!!!

For the record....Jim's fire wasn't the VW's design problem. It was a mechanical problem.....the mechanic set himself on fire,HAHAHA!!!!

Ha Ha Ha!!! I'm in the same boat as far as VW ownership, and only went bald, eyebrowless and beardless once trying to jet my firat pair of Webers... Got better at it over time! My Kryptonite is still a '62 or '63 ragtop sunroof car.

 

I'm at work....won't be posting til I get home 3:30PT. Patience my son...
