So what did you score from the swap this weekend? I ******ed up a reinforced pair of 36' rear bones from Hot Rod Works for $75. I'm totally stocked.

Got some good deals too on Model A parts. Favorite part of the day walking rhrough the swaps was a guy asking about a nice 34 grill, sellers response: $7000! He added "It is really rare and original"

CRAZY! They are wanting BIG money for 34' grills. $1200, $900, etc. They all need re-chroming too. The best grill there was the 37' Ford truck grill completely chromed. $2000 or trade for a 34'grill.

They are B...but I plan to run the threads down further and use them on a V8 car.

I am not sure which I am more excited about...the pair of old Firestone RACING ONLY tires mounted up on 40 Ford wheels...

...the chrome backing plates and spindles that I pretty much STOLE...

...or the NOS 1932 Ford fan that I bought from my pal Rodney...

    Neal....
Your eyes are like lazer beams, burning thru the Pinto and Vega parts to get to the elusive one year only stuff !!. Seriously, the best score(haul) I have seen in a long time. This also shows that the LARS swap meet is one of the best on earth. (again, Neal can find 1932 parts at a baseball card show!!! he is better at spotting them than anyone else I know).

My Dad and I looked at that K-member. He was considering it, saying we could fix it and re-sell. I told him it would take more time to fix it than we could get our money back for so we p***ed.

I saw those yellow wheels and tires before you bought them, those are *****in!

Are you the guy who was interested in those backing plates when the owner said the chrome alone was worth 40 bucks each. If it wasn't you- he told that story to someone else. I just smiled.

Picked up some stock SBC distributors to trade with Bubba for one of his modified SBC distributors for an 8BA. Also got some Kennedy Bros T shirts - my wife was a Kennedy - hope she and her 87 year old uncle like T shirts that say 'Kennedy Bros Bomb Factory' Prices were high on parts that caught my interest - as my buddy says, 'we are investing in precious metals'.

Scored a set of somewhat rare Dodge A-100 van steel wheels in fifteen inch, for a nice low price. These are hard to find, and have a hub-centric center ring, great stuff for altered wheelbase builds!

I got a mean case of the burnin'-turkey-squirts from the $12 burger/fries combo that I had to carry 2 miles back to my swap space.

didn't really score anything at the swap, only things i bought were a h&c dual point and a chopped 33-34 roadster windshield and stanchions. the score for me was a 3w coupe body a couple weeks before the roadster show, selling off a ton of stuff at the show just about paid for it.

neal those tires are pretty *****'n, kinda glad i stayed in my spot most of the time, first time in years i came home with less than i brought up there.

greg, happy to help complete the puzzle on the thickstun stuff

I bought a baby Wilton bullet vice that was made in 1941. These little 2" vices are so cool! I also bought a very old Gerstner machinist chest that has been heavily used.
