Hey ya Meatball, Yeah I bought it from Groucho several months ago and enjoyed driving it. My first Corvette. I experienced it. Not really my cup of tea so I'll sell it and put a roof on my house and finish my G***er.
Hey ya Rick, yeah the Ins. Co. is being picky so I might need to pay for part of my roof. They won't cover all of it. So what are ya going to do? Maybe I'll get my Nomad going too.
Yeah the Insurance Co. was ok with taking my premium evey month but as soon as I have a claim I get the big " up yours ".
Do your homework if the roof is going to be shingled again. There was a huge batch of junk asphalt shingles going around the last few years. I believe CertainTeed had some major issues.
OK saw the vette but not you, was hangin with johnny G at the show and went over to meet Bad Bob (good cookies) good luck on da car...............
Hey Rick, Corvette just left. Hate to see them go heheh. Car won't be done that soon but I will try. Gonna go order some interior stuff tomorrow and start polishing the stainless for the windshield and RR window.
I think that I'm just going to let my roof be for awhile and let the ins. comp. just fix it and finish my G***er NOW !!! I have a neighbor who has had a blue tarp on his roof for 7 years. Opinions? Input? Ideas?
Ok?, good workmanship is never to far away. By the way, how many miles is to Ventura from your house? Not sure if it went by a differant name before. The place I'm refering to has been around for years as well. All the work was done by Ol Man Gonzalo back in the day and is now done by his Son. The shops name is G.E. Antique Creations
Ordered my headliner today, bought some door rubber, talked to a guy about installing my headliner and carpet. Gonna put wood up over the rear seat area, covered with carpet.
Anymore pics of your 57 nomad? There was a black 57 nomad with flames cruisin around simi for a long time but disappeared recently, wonder if the dude is ok.
That black Nomad belonged to Walt, a famous pinstriper. He was recently inducted into the Pinstriping hall of fame. Walt recently died and his car went to his son and is in Big Bear. I had just talked to Walt a couple days before.
I did not know that. I wasa kid working at the grocery store when he would always come in he talked about everything under the sun but pinstriping. I was gonna ask him if that grill he had on that nomad was from a cougar.... ****, that ****s... RIP... was a really cool guy
