Buick Manifold Question

Hi , will a 4 barrel manifold off a 63-64 nailhead , part #1185976 fit on a 1961 364 auto nailhead in a lesabre that is fitted with a 2 barrel .
And would it be of much benefit performance wise , cheers Rob

 

All 364 Nailhead intakes have the same bolt pattern...........401 will not fit. Nailheads love carbs, I believe you will be happy with the performance of the 4 barrel.
From what I can find on the net. 1185976 is a 401/425 intake and will not fit.

 

nailheads 322c i, 364c i, and 401s all have different deck heights putting the heads further up on the blocks and slightly farther apart from each other....this causes the intake manifolds not to interchange with each other....go for the factory optional four barrel manifold within your engine family.

and if anyone says you can elongate the holes and it'll work they're full of it...

you can find a 4 barrel 364 manifold, it just takes a little more work

Thanks ZMAN , why i was asking was that their is one for sale in Queensland Australia for $25 , so for that price i would of grabbed it .
