The 2012 Niagara Auto Swap Meet and Car Show is coming soon... June 23 & 24 2010. Here is a link to this event: http://www.niagaraswapmeet.com/ This is a great pickin' meet as well as a nice 2 day car show in Lockport (Western), NY not far from the Canadian border. I'll be sellin' my wares in spot D-1. Stop by, sit a spell and have a beer!
Sorry I'm going to miss it waddayacare...I'll be be half way across Indianapolis for the Road Rockets Rumble...but I was serious about more NY events....will have to do some scheduling adapations for 2013 and fit some in....you Vending at Niagara or just going?
Good luck....I really just make expenses going to the Road Rockets Rumble as sales aren't that great, and travel expenses to get out there aren't cheap....but sometimes I just have to break loose from the normal swap meets....The RR Rumble is a blast...Tons of Hambers, nice variety of traditional cars....10 or so bands over the 3 day event....burlesque show, pin up contest, great facility as I set up in a hotel lobby conference room (actual carpet and Air conditioning instead of dirt floors in a pole barn full of cow **** and spiders !!) If I want to take a break I take the elevator to the room and kick back for 1/2 an hour....shows like this spoil me !!! But I can bet at the end of the weekend you'll have more $ in your pocket than I will....and ultimately that's why we do what we do...so good luck and I'll see you down the road
A week and a half to go! Can't wait! Last year there was a guy that had about 4 Ford Flathead V8's on a trailer that he was selling dirt cheap.
I'll be there selling. My spot is right next to the rest rooms where the block tower is. Stop by and say hi!
I got a line on a pair of doors and quarters for the J, hopefully picking those up on Saturday if all goes well. Looks like I may not make it this year ?
Looks like picture perfect weather! The weatherman is calling for mid to upper 70's and clear for both days. See ya' there!
The last time I set up to sell there, I awoke from an all night Thunderstorm to find all my cranks and heads under 6 inches of water.
You sure you're not confusing Niagara with Dunkirk??? I've never seen water that deep at Niagara but I have seen it that deep and deeper at Dunkirk. Plus it almost always rains for Dunkirk.
Nope definitely Niagara, I was in the front corner under the trees near the car coral. Rained and thundered all night, woke up, crawled out of my then 63 falcon and promptly stepped into the biggest lake of standing water. Next 5 hours was spent drying stuff out and then getting pulled out by the grounds keepers with their tractors.
Tomorrow is the start of the first day of deals... deals... DEALS!!! I'll be leaving in a little while to set up and see what I can steal early.
I bought 6 sanding belts for my belt sander. Other than that, it was a waste of time. WAAAAYYYYY too many "Vendors" selling **** they must have picked up on the curb on the way to the meet. Doubt if I'd waste my time going next year.
We did very well selling and I picked up a 38 Plymouth grill and a front spring for my 30 Dodge build. It wasnt a Billet Specialties scratch and dent sale like Tagman wanted but just good local swapmeet . I also saw many people Ive havent seen in years. That was a nice bonus.
