  1. Roadster weather hasn't even started yet. Weird year, today was nice but supposed to be back in the low 60's and rainy this weekend :(

  2. Naw, I aint that good. They have some highs and lows. Beside, these are just temps until the fenders go on.

Looking good. Are you going to use hood? How 'bout rims' color in firewall?

That car is THEE best roadster going. Finally someone put the headlights in the right place on their 34'!

  5. I did not prime the firewall obviously. I think I am going to leave it and may use it to test a color for final paint. I am running a full hood, but waiting for the handles to get done at the platers and one center hinge mount bracket before I can install it.

My "have to get done before drive" list is getting smaller:

    -mount tail lights
    -make a license plate mount
    -wire all lights
-cut package tray and mount seat back
-Re-connect rear brake lines and bleed

Tons of other little stuff, but I think with that stuff done she will be ready for a trip to get exhaust put on it.

  6. Thanks man! Headlight placement is really touchy on 33-34's I think.

You are making progress by leaps and bounds on that car. It ought to look pretty good in the wedding photos now.

I agree, and I think you nailed it, but uh, I can't help but think that the HAMB helped out a little on that one :D You're welcome.

Go ahead and make a duplicate set so I know where to mount my headlights on my '33. :D

  12. Yes they did, thanks everyone for the help on that! I actually moved them up an inch from where they were deemed.

  13. Looks great Chris! I've barely had time to look at the Hamb, so it's nice to see your car come together so quickly for me! Ha.

    I love it. Amazing job!

Can't wait to get to mine. Not this year. I also have a pal wanting my 32 real bad. In the back of my mind I know I could get to the 34 quicker. Don't know if I can do it though.

Good luck with all your future customizations! Looks like fun.

  14. Thanks Mel, I work on this thing all the damn time! All the little stuff seems to take FOREVER! Get on yours, dump the deuce if you have too...you won't regret it :D

    Chris,

I haven't posted in a while but I check this thread several times a week. I knew when you got this car it was in good hands. The last pictures with the body patched & one color, new wheels & tires and headlights mounted (perfect placement btw!) are enough to give a guy a stiff one. Truely BITCHIN'!!!

  20. Got the tail lights and plate mounted. The plate and lights are set at the same angle. I am not 100% in love with where the lights are, but the final product will have 50 Pontiac's mounted in the fenders. These worked because I had the deuce lights and hangers kickin around. The plate is mounted to a stock 40's Ford trunk mount with a bracket I made to mount the NOS light. Now just gotta wire em.

    Chris,
Could I get a picture of the inside of the trunk facing back towards the rear? I can't quite figure out what mine should look like.

Is the plan to eventually go with full, stock fenders? If so, I think that's great.

The body looks fantastic. You guys have knocked it out.

  25. Yes, final plans for this car are stock fenders with 50 Pontiacs mounted in em and 1941 Ford SD bumpers front and rear (like this car). Pretty much stock bodied...but I mean really, how can you improve on a profile like this??

Your just about B-ville ready. Have you thought about driving down through Bozeman and then drive through Yellowstone on the way down to the flats. The canyon is beautiful...especially with the top down. ;)

  27. Down is gonna be a banzi run because I cannot get off work until the afternoon Friday...so I wanna jam down as far as we can get Friday night, and get to the salt Saturday. Going back though, we wanna do some slow-poke sight seeing.

  28. Looking great Chris !!! we missed you guys at Billetproof(er Wetproof, Waterproof...) Take Out T looked great as always.. The roadster is looking killer, cheers ! Rob

  29. Did a little wiring tonight and have lights! I need to get a few more feet of cloth wiring in the right colors to finish the job, but for the most part everything works. Just a few more things to do and she should be "legal" to go get some pipes!!
