steering column question

    Hi..... I'm in the mist of building a '32 ford roadster....... I didn't want to spring for a Flaming river column .... so..... what is a column I could get from a recycle yard ....... any help ????? :confused: Thanks, Older Rodder

    Try a late 60's thru eaely 70's Ford truck item... Plain tube, and i'm sure the length can be altered to suit.

    48-52 ford F1, is about as traditional as it gets
     
  4. If you want a tilt look for a Vega or Camero. They are nice and small overall but can tilt away to allow us old guys tummy room.

    Chevy, GMC early vans without the key in the column.

    Look for the post on here about building a column for cheap. I liked the post, very clear, nice photos.
