As long as we all focus on old style hot rods and customs there are no problems,,the Hamb has never been about how you wear your hair or the cloths you wear,,,nor if you like or dislike tattoos.

We have always been able to bridge the generation gap with our membership,I know I have learned from both young and old and the car building styles from some of the young builders here can and do rival some of the old pros.

My main point is,,tattoos or not, hair or not,,this site is about traditional Hot Rods & Customs.

    Stay on track. HRP

I like to see the "costume clubs" at car shows. The girls are more fun to look at though.

    Well said Danny!

Some of us can't get tattoos and yet I'm building a hot rod.....

This place is, first and foremost about the cars. Stick around, you'll learn ****loads more than you ever imagined.

Wow, it seems everyone focused on the mention of the words "rockabiily" or "tattoo". I think what the guy's question was asking is about clubs and that is very much about old style hot rods and customs. How much fun would our hobby be if we couldn't hang out with liked minded people?
Stick around dude, you'll find out that this site is vault of information and there are some great people here.

To the original poster if you're still here, you're best off sticking to rods and customs on the main board, but if you search hard enough there is a social group for pretty much anything, and you can talk off topic with like-minded people whenever you want. This place is far too amazing to give up on straightaway, just hang around and figure out how it works yourself. You'll be glad you did.
Unless, of course, you are just a poser

You know what else isn't traditional? Bickering on a forum... Let him express what he likes and be thankful he's young and not into ricers.. And carrying on a dying bred

    yep,

and for the record there are plenty of clubs on here that are probably what you are looking for, or not, but they tend to keep the focus on the board about the cars and not someone's lifestyle.

Do your thing- build a hot rod, drive it, have fun- DONT do it to be accepted by a group of people you don't know.

The club thing should happen naturally... if it doesn't who cares-

Odds are that in the process of building a rod, you will get involved with people doing the same thing, that's how it happens.

Hate to see you leave over what was some REALLY MILD razzing. Not that it matters (nor was I asked) but I have tons of tattoos. Just a personal choice, most are car related tats, but in no way is it traditional. However my collection of parts and "most" cars I build...... ARE. Thats all that counts here.

Sorry if I offended you stoodbaker,, I was just stating that the guys I hung around back in the 50e didn't have tattoos. Its your live, live it to the fullest, build what you like, its your car. At least you are saving old American iron, good luck with your club. And a Terraplane is not a traditional hot rod but my first one was, 31 ford on32 rails with a Olds.engine. Been there, done that.
