I'm a mom who just purchased a 1955 Dodge c3 for my son. Have no idea what I'm doing but it should be an interesting adventure! The engine is good but the interior and exterior need lots of work. Lots of small stuff to do and some electrical needs work but as of now it runs. I will be on here for help I am sure!! I will post pics soon. Thanks

Welcome from Rockmart GA! Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford send friendly horn honks. You couldn't have picked a simpler or easier vehicle to learn on. It's mechanically simple, and good thick metal to learn bodyworking skills on. Lot of good folks here who'll be glad to help you. None of us were born knowing how to work on cars, we all had to learn.
Welcome from Colorado, Mom! You have a very lucky son! Enjoy the HAMB...its a lot of fun and there is all kinds of knowledge on this forum, not to mention HAMB members right where you live too!
Welcome from SW Wisconsin. My first car was a 56 Dodge Coronet, that was in 1963. Enjoy the HAMB and don't be afraid to get on and ask for help, there's a wealth of knowledge here.

Ok so I am looking for a 12 volt manual starter for my truck, is there somewhere I can buy it? Or how hard is it to convert and fix a burnt 9 volt one?
