What width of wheel have you put on a 61-63 thunderbird? I'm trying to get away from my stock wheels, they'll 14x5.5. I'm thinking about going to a 15x7. Has anyone put a 15x7 on a thunderbird? Not sure if I'll have clearance issues while turning.

Just checked the scribbles on the wall. 3 3/4 back space and 3 1/4th front, preaty much standard wheel. Mine has air ride, no problems unless fully slammed.

Thanks. What size tire do you have on those?

  7. I have 15" wheels off a 85ish Police Interceptor on mine, but have run 2001 Bullitt 17" Torque thrust on mine......with the skirts.
    Lots of room on Rocketbirds.
