Well, The absolut worst has happened, when I take something like this on I can Only warrenty My paint to stick to my primer, and I always explain this to the customer, Ian has sent me pics of his car, after telling me at the january pomona show that his paint was cracking and blowing off in chunks. of corse I was bummed and felt really bad. When I got the pics One of the cracks is right down the center of the hood, which I must question how the hood was welded together and finished out. the car was in bare metal and bondo when I got it, I only straightened it up and primed it twice and blocked it out, and painted it. Now Ian is not haappy and I am non too proud of this either. But what I see in the pics is bondo cracking, not paint flying off. I cant and will not strip anything I didnt do to metal and start over. I have heard from many people that Ian is not happy that I wont warrenty this paint job. I do hope to get the chance to see the car in person, so I can determin for sure it is bondo not paint. But what I see and have heard for people that have looked at it , we are very sertain it is bondo cracking. I just wanted to put it out there and want to stop any of the shit talking that is going on. I told Ian if it was my paint and just paint I would take care of it, and If he wants to redo the car, I would spray it again, but why would either of us want to be in that possition again. I learned a valuable leason, and will stick to just doing the cars I build, unless it is totally understood about the prep. sorry this went down I feel bad, but am and honest guy and dont feel this job went bad do to paint error.

Don't know if you need any help, but these guys are near you.
Old school hot rodders, although they mostly do regular collision work now. I do know they have some very experienced help.
