hey everyone! joined earlier this month, posted on a couple threads, sent a couple pm's, & w/ little to no responses thought; **** i should probably introduce myself! Name is Kenny. love for cl***ics started as a kid when my dad started taking me to shows & swap meets around age 10. I'm now 33. growing up in a family loving muscle cars; i always had a desire for 49-54 chevy body styles. my first cl***ic was a 67 el camino on bags. that was before kids. i sold that el about 5 months ago & started looking for my family cruiser now that i'm married w/ 2 beautiful little girls. took me 4 months to find my 54 chevy bel air which i am currently trying to get on the road (had a bad 235). as soon as i got my 54 my buddy said " you gotta get on the H.A.M.B.!!" so i did and gotta say; this is an amazing site! i'm looking forward to meeting u all and soaking up all your great advice!
welcome for just a little west of ya. Gota soft spot for 54's too. Keep an eye on craigslist, decent running 235's show up offen, decent runners and cheap
Welcome from SW Wisconsin, formerly from Wauwatosa, Enjoy the board. Nice looking Chevy, get it running and show those guys on Hwy. 100 what a decent car looks like !!! If the're still cruising up there on Sat. nites.
thanx for the warm welcome everyone! and @ oldschool66, yea those pesky kids are still up there on hwy 100 grindin rice but now that its summer they're up there every day of the week! sad thing is, that was me 15-20 years ago!
The Hwy 100 cruises are illegal per West Allis ordinance... the Ave was always better anyway... BTW to the OP... welcome aboard from Rumblefest... now ditch the rallye wheels!
Welcome from New York. Good choice with the 54. They have an awesome grille. I used one in a 58 Chevy I built several years ago and got nothing but compliments on how nice it flowed with car.
