I'm a little rusty at using photoshop.....I used to do it for a living, though! If you like my work, I can get a bit more detailed....for a fee!

  6. Thanks Mutt, we just built a new shop, kinda keeping the look of the old shop and trying to get it to blend with the same era of the office (old station). It's pretty much of a landmark in this town.

    We're lov'in it!!

well since all the rage is to wear Von Dutch name on your ass even if you're someone he would of hated with all this heart you might want to go with this kind of a theme.

the best part is you only can except cash since you can't file taxes. You can yell at anyone you don't like (perfect for the all to0 often pain-in-the-ass-customer) and you can say anything you want. all while charging different prices to different people.!!

10 percent off for MILFS.. LOL, that's funnier than my Dutch Garage...

When i used to work in the service industry, me and the few guys that worked there would give out a MILF of the Day award to the hottest MILF customer... man, i can't believe we got away with that. one time we did it right in front of her husband, but he was actually glad..

I like this one! Similar to the Shell gas stations of the '50s and '60s. Yellow building with red trim.

One word of caution. I don't know what the Tucson's sign ordanance will allow. In Mesa the Quaker State oil change stations couldn't put as wide a red stripe on their buildings like they usually do. This was because the sign ordanance in Mesa considered the large red stripe around the building as part of the "sign" and not part of the building paint. You might want to get a copy of the sign ordanance to see what they allow or don't allow. I'll see what I can find on-line for you and send you a pm with a link.

Looking around Tucson, I cannot imagine that town freaking out over anything artistic. What with the yard art and murals that abound down there, I think GrsyMonkey could lay down a mixed media of newspaper, covered with flourescent yellow-green, layered with pink adobe, then applying generous usage of a cheese grader for texture to bring out the three layers all the while finalizing the sidewalk in front of it with sharp pointy welded steel sculptures that look like a cross between Escher and Michael Jacksons nose canal perfectly level with your crotch, just like when you walk through the throngs of hippies that are prevalent downtown. Plus it would be the envy of everyone on 4th avenue.

Hell, the way it was painted when I saw it the first time, with the mix of spraypaint and black, I don't think he could make it uglier if he tried. If you do put a gargoyle out there, you are going to have to watch out for clove smoking, purple and black velvet clothed teen agers whose makeup will melt down their capes because it is 100+ degrees outside, turning them into Slip Knots militia for angsty teen-age street grommets looking to mate with the cement statue. But only if you give them change the one time.

According to studies on commerce, liberal uses of blue makes people more apt to spend money. On the side Bakers Pink will make people insane, so perhaps a mix of both would be beneficial, just as long as you don't stare at the Baker's Pink. The idea being that people will part with their money quicker but become insane and not question anything so you can make that first year rock for the new business. Forget about having to advertise just get them in the place. I suck at photoshop so I am really no help.

However, if you need reference, look at this site: http://www.modernphoenix.net/neonintro1.htm

They have a forum and some images of a bygone era. I do see quite a bit of sea foam green on some of the buildings/signs.
