I bought "custom-fit" window gaskets for my Plymouth. He sent me a bunch of universal RV camper gasket material. I called and he was a jerk right off the bat.

He told me to cut and paste it and acted like it was my problem now. He also stated that it needs to be cut and pasted... and as soon as it is cut it's non-returnable.

As you can guess I was bitter. I have heard of a bunch of others getting the same universal RV material rolls after ordering custom gaskets. They were just as pissed as me.

I've heard of many complaints about parts from him.

FWIW, Andy sold the business last year. The new owner seems to be a pretty nice guy on the phone.

I've never bought anything besides some NOS parts from them, so I can't comment on quality of the gaskets.

Does Steele Rubber offer a windshield gasket for your car? If so, I'd buy it from them!

  6. I had good luck with my order a couple of years ago.....'60 Plymouth Belvedere...channel, sweepers, gaskets, etc, etc, .....got to say tho, it was all generic stuff that arrived .....I made it work.

Still can't figure the door rubbers out....she's a bit draughty and noisy...one day I'll get brave and have a go.:D
