Hi - Can anyone ***ist in providing the dimensions of a stock 1950's (1956 ideally) Ford COE C800? Mainly need height and width, not so much length.

Trying to work out if I can fit it in a shipping container - might need the wheels off to get the height down, but not sure if it will fit....

    Thanks...

What specific measurements are you looking for? I have a 56 C800 that is all apart so I may be guessing a little at the width to the outside of the front fenders and the
height. I can get you the distance outside to outside on the front tires and the inside duals. I tried to haul mine on my car trailer and it was a little wide so I had to get a ramp truck. My guess is it's going to be real tight on the height but I should be able to get you answers tomorrow.

Hi Bedrock, I need total width and height, so if your cab is off, it might be a bit hard. Trying to determine if I can fit it into a shipping container to ship to Australia. Without the wheels or at least tyres, it might fit. Container door opening is 7ft 8 1/8 inches wide and 7ft 5 3/4 inches high. I "think" it will squeeze in the width, but not sure and think I will struggle with the height. If you can ***ist at all, let me know. Thanks!

Here's what I get but with it apart some is a guess. Maybe the other site will be more exact but this gives you a place to start. I believe you're hooped on the height. My guess is you're looking at 100 inches to the top with the wheels on. Wheels off will drop it 8 or 9 inches and if you pull the front hubs you should gain just
over a foot. I believe you're good on the width. Here's some measurements.
    Bumper width ----------------------------------------------- 7 ft
    Outside of duals -------------------------------------------- 7ft - 4 in
Width to outside of inner rears ------------------------------ 5 ft - 6 in
Total frame length to front bumper -------------------------- 23 ft
Ground to top of frame ------------------------------------- 29 to 30 in
Ground to top of steering wheel ----------------------------- 6 ft - 2 in
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Cab measurements
Cab width (about centre of door openings) widest spot ------- 70 in
Cab height (from the bottom of the relief in back of cab) ----- 53 in
Cab height from back corners ------------------------------- 61 - 62 in
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm ***uming you're familiar with the framework that bolts to the top of the main
frame which in turn the body bolts to, to lift the cab above the motor. Running
boards and fenders also bolts to this frame. As far as I can tell this raises the cab
at least 17 inches. That is how I came up with 100 inch total.
Thirty inches to top of main frame, 17 inch subframe and 53 in cab height.
The subframe measured 79 in wide and I'm guessing the running boards and fenders
would stick out a little but you shouldn't be wider than 7 and a half feet.

I would think that with the body off and just sitting on the frame you should be
looking at just under 7 ft high with the wheels on. Hope this helps. If you need any
more info, pictures or anything, fell free to ask. Bedrock

Hello Bedrock, today I stumbled upon your post, and it helped me a fair bit. I am currently working on this truck in a videogame. But I need the height of the truck, but I find yours to be a bit confusing. If I may ask, which of the two heights is measured from the bottom of the front fender?
I am well aware that I am four years late to the party, but I've been eager to ask.

    Thank you in advance,
    Daan B.
