I am an old hot rodder from way back. In my "new life" I am a missionary in Mexico. What caused me to join this group was a search for "Bob Stroud" or maybe spelled "Strode". As a kid in Redmond Washington he was a teacher in my junior high. He and his brother if I remember correctly built and raced one of the very first rear engine "rail" dragsters. I was curious if anyone here remembers them and what became of their race cars? Considering that this was in the 50's they were way ahead of their time. As I recall it was chevy enigined, dont remember if blown or injected. Anyone remember?

Actually, it is safe. I feel safer here than in cities in the States. The border is where its risky. If you fly in there is near zero risk. The cartels arent interested in regular folks, there is no incentive to harm us. They are banging it out over turf wars between organizations. Rarely inocents get caught in the crossfire. Fly interior Mexico, eat, drink and have a great time. m
