Hi everybody just signed up on here today but I have been an occasional reader for a while. Been into old cars and hotrods since I knew what cars were and I've managed to own a couple over the past few years (being only 22). Nothing too special had a 62 impala 4dr as my first car..it was mostly stock and had more bondo and fibergl*** under the paint than metal. After that there were several late model camaros and mustangs and a couple of trucks that I stuck motors in. My current project is a 71 VW squareback. Its a mostly original runner the only things I've done with the car is put new brakes on it, went through the fuel system, and fixed some electrical issues. Its probably not exactly a respectable ride in these halls but I have plenty of fun going very slowly. However the brave little toaster isn't all I had hoped for so I'm looking around for another project. Hopefully ill find something soon. Well Thx for reading.
Welcome from The Great State of Maine........last time I was in la. They told me I talked funny! Good luck on your project search. Take your time, look here on the Hamb and on the fordbarn....all kinds of good stuff. I have bought unfinished projects before and have saved major coin.
Thanks everybody. Took a look around the cl***ifieds here and its got me wanting to free up the garage in a hurry haha.
Finally got around to getting a project. Ended up with a 65 c10. Pretty plain jane but its pretty solid. Motivation is a 350 with a 3spd behind it. Previous owner threw in a saginaw 4spd as well that I'll install when I find a shifter. Havnt done much wirh it so far got the grill and bezels stripped down and a fairly rotten fender replaced. So the work begins haha
