I'm looking for a modern paint code for the color of this 36 Ford. I'm told that it might be called "Dusty Gray" I see the color listed over the years for Cad, Olds, Buick and Pontiac on http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?color=Dusty Gray&tditzler=&rows=50 However when calling PPG and DuPont, and using all of these codes, they can't seem to give me a modern formula. Anyone know of a similar color code for a more modern version that I can get mixed in two stage paint? If it's not "Dusty Gray" I'd love to know the color name on this 1936 Ford roadster. Any help would be great. Thanks, John
It may be grayer than the pic shows, but it looks like cordoba tan, which my 36 was when I got it. I got some paint to redo a fender and they only had a mix in lacquer.
