Any body got any more info on the poker run? I was thinking about going up Friday, assuming they were still having the nostalgic drags Friday night but the poker run sounds cool! Not sure if my cars up to it yet?

PS - Columbus has some bad neighborhoods immediately adjacent to the Fairgrounds. 11th avenue, 17th avenue...that area is bad with crime. Be sure to remove all valuables from your cars and keep an eye on them whenever possible, if they are parked outside of the show.

Will be there Saturday for the swap meet. Scored a nice set of 36 rear bones last year for my Model A.
They generally have 2 buildings and some out side venders I think its better than Street Rod Nationals Swap
Kirk thanks for the poker run shout out my friends and i work on it and we have 5 stops that take you around north columbus and finish up near the kick off party allways a good time and this years stops are really neat come join in by the way i may take about 20 miles or so but how long i takes is up to you good luck this year booboo
Hey Kirk, or anybody We are coming over Friday nite and was wondering besides the Drags is the Party at the Crowne Plaza the place to be? We like the big cruise ins like The old Adams Mark in Indy.
yes the crown plaza is it ,also leading into the crown from st rt 161 alot of locals gather around the hotels and the side of the road for nightlife fun
Not to hijack the thread but earlier some one posted a warning about Dublin Granville Road area (Near I-71) being a sh*thole, you are right. There have been four murders in that area in a little over a month and a half. The hotels there are constantly being raided by the cops for drugs, etc. I would not recommend anyone stay in that area. Morse Road and I-71, one exit south, is getting bad as well but they just haven't had the murders.
just curious does the areas around the fairgrounds still have power? with the heavy duty windstorms that went through there i had heard on the local news some areas in columbus wouldnt get thier power back until atleast the 8th any body live close enough to know?
I've stayed in the Dublin granville area for the last 8 years and have never had any problems. Sometimes its shady at night, but you get that in any metro area. Stuff gets stolen out here in the sticks too.
I think were staying walking distance at the best western or something like that right along the fairgrounds and 71.....Hope they dont snatch the old pickup! I'll have to hook it up with a little juice for the evening! haha
Anyone staying at Super 8 at 1078 East Dublin Granville Road,if so maybe we could chain a couple cars together,or something???
We stay at the best western right by it. There are always people out at all hours. Seems to keep trouble away for the most part.
I'll be there as usual. If anyone see's my '40, please stop by and say hello, unless it's on a trailer, then stop it and call the cops! RapRap
My buddy and I'll be staying at the Super 8. We'll be grtting there Thursday and staying till Sunday.
