Do you have experience in sheet metal fabrication, MIG, TIG and Oxy/Acetylene welding? Have you ever worked at a shop that encouraged you to bring your personal project to the shop and use the facilities? On the job training sessions have included workshops with, Fay Butler, Lincoln motorsport welding, Jon Kozmoski and more. Two weeks vacation Benefits We (WyoTech in Laramie, WY) are looking for two new instructors If you're interested please send me a PM Everything has a down side and here are the big ones This WyoTech campus is located in Wyoming, very cold in the winter. Everyone says the town ****s. I'm at the shop too much to notice but it probably does. We have an appearance code to work here, no long hair, no facial hair other than a mustache, no visible piercings. 90% of the students are 18-21 years of age and can be challenging to deal with.
You know Brick, Wyotech needs to get with the times. My Doctor, my insurance agent, my church pastor ALL have Goatees! As well as my pimp and my dealer From the students I have seen, you need to teach a de-hickifying cl*** in their dress and demeanor! All of this is in jest but there is a grain of truth in what I say.
There are no rules about Tattos but I wouldn't be suprised if someone that had a graphic tattoo would be asked to wear a long sleaved shirt. ***uming it was on your arms. Many of our instructors have a lot of tattos. I don't know of one instructor that wanted to be a teacher. We are all from some form of the auto industry and were attracted to this job because it allows you to work on your own car without being burned out from working on cars all day long. I personally was tired of the unnessary deadlines to get cars done at my previous place of employment. Everything was a rush. Here the students will graduate or they won't but in the end it's up to them.
I agree 100% about the goatees. I would start growing mine back today if I could keep it. Explane how the de-hickifying might work, it sounds interesting.
Ok, I'll bite. I'm a sheetmetal and ch***is fabricator for a well known mopar race/resto shop. I learned some from my dad, but mostly self taught. I'm not an expert in metalwork by any means but i know my way around the shop. Been in college for four years for electrical engineering and I'm still going. I've picked up a few degrees and such along the way..... Tell me more.
I was really excited until you said I gotta shave my goatee. Other than that I'm enough of a redneck to fit right in. Some day I will be an instructor at WyoTech. Even if I have to shave. Walt
Walt, We would love to have you here. After looking at your web site I'm sure you could teach us all a thing or two. Please call any time your ready
I am not eligible cause of the beard-and I can't take any temps below 32deg........ sounds like an opportunity for some clean shavin' Remington man tho!
How many years do you need for experience. I ask because I just graduated, and I'm 25, and have a background in flat rate mechanical and cnc machining. Plus I've been playin around with cars since I was a kid-NO young jokes guys-haha AND I'm still looking for a job... I don't believe I qualify, but figured I'd ask Chris
