    ding, ding, ding.

Without pointing fingers... if you have a club and want to bring 30 cars and expect a discount, call me, set it up WAY before the show. Perhaps there is something we can do, even set up a nice club area just for ya'll. I have no problem with that. The day of the show is not the time to try to work out something like this. I got the call on the during the show saying "hey we have 30 cars and we want a discount"... I said, well, the best I can do for you today, if you do indeed have 30 cars is to offer you the pre-reg price. They hung up and I didnt hear from them again. Turns out they had about 6-8 cars and when they werent given more of a discount some started to look for holes in the fence to sneak in as spectators (at least this is what I was told)

    You rebels you.;)

DOUCHE BAGS! It is unfortunate they had brothers and sisters that drove quite a ways away to be embarrassed, (HEAVY ON THE ASS), Although I have never seen them blocking the entry to Goodguys holding out for a deal! Great show Alan, its one we will never miss, and a big thumbs up to the other clubs, and people that supported the show, rain or shine, with out looking for the welfare line! The Dude,(nice to meet you) and your guys, the bishops (barring mechanical difficulties), misfits, (thanks for lunch and shots) and all the other clubs, and just regular folks like me and my friends that were not looking for a hand out... Just a good time, like we had! Great show, great venue, great bands, great time! thanks again Alan,Melissa, and the Slo-pokes once again , another top shelf show!

Some people are amazingly CHEAP ! If you can't afford the entry fee, don't go. Do they think the location and everything that goes with it comes free ?

It is such a shame too because Alan runs such a great show....no, make that great EVENT. Sorry the weather was not the best, but from the pictures it looks like a good time was had by all anyway.

Only 4 more months till the BP Drags down here. Can't wait. :D

Wow, I hadn't heard anything about that.
I was curious where that club was, they usually have quite a presence from years past.

    The show was killer, period.

    Can't wait for next year.

I really would like to figure out a way to get to know the faces behind the avatar's, or their cars. I seen a ton of cars that are from the hamb, and undoubtedly talked to the owners, but it's hard to put two and two together unless your sitting directly next to your car.

    Billetproof 2013, be there!

A Rodder I saw your ride but never caught up with you, of course, I have no idea what the hell you look like so that may be a lie! The Dude, on the other hand, I introduced my self to, when he parked in front of my rig by one of the first barns. Then he and his crew got wise and grabbed a dry spot in one of the barns. Me on the other hand was busy shootin the shit, drinking beer, getting wet, and giggling about the Road Turds awesome display of power! Maybe well meet at B.P. Drags in Toutle! See ya there!

Burnt up a bunch of gas (almost 1200 miles one way) and had fun standing in the rain! Saw some cool cool stuff and met some great people! I'll be back for 2013!

I'm a member of the Roadmen, and pre-registered my car online the day registration opened. I went into the show, bought a bunch of merchandise, talked with a few people about their rides etc....stayed around as long as my extreme lack of sleep from the drive down would allow.

Nobody tried to sneak through the fence. None of us were holding up the line. Many of the guys who were there paid at the gate and went into the show to see the cars and check out the bands.

There was about 15 Roadmen cars there, and at most, 5 of them were four-doors.

I can appreciate that some of what went on might have annoyed you, but there's being annoyed and then there's just ranting and making things up. The Roadmen have had strong attendances at the last few Billetproof N.W's from what I understand.

understood completely. And I appreciate you and the club coming to the show.

I did however get a call from someone claiming to be in the Roadmen wanting to talk about getting a discount at the gate. I was told that those that were asking about this did not accept the discount that was offered to them. If they were indeed Roadmen or not, I dont know.

Not trying to stir up any muck... just saying what I know.

I certainly appreciate the clubs participating in the show. I hope that the show provides a good time and and good party for ya'll, thats the idea, to have fun.

Flat broke, glad you supported the show, I was at the registration booth when Alan got the call, talk to Waller.he is the one that called for the discount at the gate with the rest of the crew, I'm not making things up, I saw and heard it with my own eyes and ears. Embarrassing.

This guy did not ask for a picture of his ride to be here on the H.A.M.B. One of our fellow members put it on here and now you all sit behind your computers and trash his ride.
Did any one of you actually talk to him about his ride and how it was built or are you just judging a book by its cover.
This is not a ride I would build and not my taste, but I would never put another mans ride down based on looks. There are already to few of the younger folks out there into cars in general and we do not need to chase them away.

Oh and yes I have talked to him a few times about his ride as he is at a lot of local shows and cruise ins in my neck of the woods. His ride gets alot of attention from the younger crowd and he always answers all their questions.

And finally, all of our old cars without a crumple zone are "death traps".:D

    Thank you..

  21. Yes, I actually heard him talking about it as I stood next to it "admiring" the work.....WATER PIPE and SHOCK ENDS is an exact quote. That shit ain't safe and is another nail in the coffin for the home builder. That vehicle should not be on the road. It is not safe. END OF STORY.

I learn a little from everything I see. Some give me ideas of how to do something, some give me ideas of what not to do. The car game is funny, take what you want from it. Hitch hiker is right though. Cars like that are a nail in the coffin for the home builder. Art? Expression? Sure. Roadworthy? No. I think about every weld, Nut and bolt on my stuff, sometimes it scares the shit out of me. I hope the dude doesn't hurt himself or anyone else. On that note. Was it driven to the show?

We (the other members of the Bishops C.C.) tried our damnest to make it down. Worked 43 hours on 2 cars, only to leave at 11pm friday night, and have a fatal breakdown along I-5.

    Next year for sure!

I'll only say this about the basturdized Ford Courier truck. It should not have been in a traditional hot rod show...As a result, Billetproof is diminished as well, as far as a venue I care to participate in. And the Roadmen? It's only a hundred miles from here to this show. I wouldn't walk to my mail box to see what they're bringing, and they asked for a discount for a quantity of crap?

  27. That rat rod sounds like some nasty irresponsible shitheap. Fugly, get it outta here.

Looks like you had a bunch of cool lookin' cars there. It's funny how a few pictures of a questionable appearing hot rod turns into a bitch-fest.

I agree it should not have been at that show and I also do not believe a picture should have been put up on this board.

yes it was driven to the show ... 270 miles roundtrip
