I just started work on my new project. An all steel 1940 Willys coupe. I have the original engine out of the car, not running in many years. The plan is to build the car into a early 60s mild g***er. Will use the stock front axle. The engine is a 427 cu in SBC with a 671 blower. The outside apperance will be total stock. I have the stock bumpers but would like to have guards on the rear. I will be posting photo's when I figure out how to connect my camera to this F$%@&^& computer. Hope some one out there can help.:D

My UnG***er 440 De Luxe is well under way and has been in rebuild for three years. One of the main considerations was that it will look stock to 99.9% of the popularion and bumpers and bumper guards are part of the formula. Do you have bumper guards already? Have I started a new trend I can be part of? I am on the road right now but can post photos later....

I have only the bumpers and brackets. I just love the looks of a little old lady's car tuned into a nice street driven hotrod Willys.

  4. I have some guards. I know I have '39's , but some others also. If any one has a picture of what you need, I'll see if I have any!

Hello Guys. You guys will have to help me with these bumper guards. I have no idea as to how they look. I have seen photos from afar and they look like they are taller on the top than the bottom!!!!!!Mabe 39s are the same.....

I have a set of rear bumper guards for a 1940 Willys. They are original and haven't been rechromed. I will take $295.00 for the pair plus shipping.
If you are interested, contact me at my home phone # 903-986-9928. I usually get home after six pm est. Thank you!

  10. hot-rod Willys,
The ones I have at home are definitely '39 (exact same shape, but with the triple horizontal ribs). I do have some others, but they are stored in a friend's pole barn...I'll call him and ask him to look...If I have them they are yours for $25 ea.
    Thanks,
    g-willys
