I live right across the road from the Academy & watched in total dismay the horror show of 350 homes being lost to the fire Monday evening. Although we worried about all our friends getting out, I worried too that some good "iron" might be going up in flames in that upscale neighborhood. Sad day here...

Hippykiller/Fantm58, my inlaws have a place in Grand Lake, too. Those orange mountian sides just scare the crap out of me.That is a bad situation, all around.
    Another bump,

Choptvan, great idea man. Wish I would have thought of something similar

I'll offer up what I can, I have 3 open parking spots in my driveway just north of Ft. Collins. If anyone who is in a tough spot cause of this damn firestorm they are more then welcome to store a car or two here. Don't really have reliable transportation right now but if there is anything else I can do to help anybody let me know. 970-402-5587

BTT... I personally live on a tree farm in a heavily wooded area. This scares the hell out of me. Hope everyone is OK.

My thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the fires. I lived 58 years of my life in Colorado and its heartbreaking to know the damage this
has done to my home state.

I live a couple miles east of choptvan. We had ash falling the other night from the fires twenty miles away. One of my wifes co-workers in school dist 20 lost her house. She only knows of one, there may be more. We're storing records and pictures for a friend that was on the border of the evac zone. She wanted to be ready to go quickly. Pretty scary stuff. You never think it can happen here.
