Hi Guy`s at last Ive finished building my 35 Ford pk up. Im not as quick as Thee Boyd Crew , its took me 3 years. Sadly I had to sell the truck due to the high price of gas (£6 = $9 a gallon) & me being a retired 72yr old Greybeard Ive had to cut my cloth acordingly but alas Im still riding my 49 Triumph Trophy & 55 Triumph Tiger 100. Ive had a good time building Rods over the past 45yrs. The 1958 HOT ROD magazine truly ate my brain & I had become a Ford fanatic. Over the past year`s Ive built a 32 5 Window Coupe. 34 5 W. Coupe, 35 Ford pk up, 33 Ford pk, & just finished another 35 Ford pk up. In between the Roddin years I got the Surfin bug & purchased a VW campervan & fitted a Ford V4 engine & chased the Surf., I rode a 10ft Bilbo Surfboard. They were great times & good for my family. My only claim to fame is, in the 1960 Hot Rod magazine in the Post Entry section they printed my story about Roddin in England ***led "Roddin`s Rough Over Here" Wow how things have changed . We now have Fenderless 32, 34 Coupes & Sedan`s, every year Pick ups that good old Henry made. At the European & Scandinavian shows the Rods are as good as any American Hot Rod. Anyhow thats my story & its been great. Your welcome to view my H.A.M.B site Album`s.......Cheer`s Bri......(This pic taken outside of my mate John Ford`s workshop, he has a p***ion for Military Vehicles Jeeps etc)
Did I read that right??? You've already sold it?... If so, that's a shame. I know how long you've been working on it and how much it obviously meant to you. I love the color. Great truck
I almost didnt open this thread, expecting another rudy. What a pleasant surprise. Very nice. Its a shame that its getting to the point where you expect some hacked up mess every time you see a fat fenders pu thread...
Love your truck!! Only thing I hat done different was the selling part! What does it contain? Flathead, milled heads, 3 97s, dropped front axle, 4speed? Tell us more!!! Tell us everything.
Hi Brynk, I fitted a 283 SBC, 350 turbo slushbox with deep Del air cooled trans pan full outside trans filter & cooler. Art deco cab heater, 37 Ford radio head conected to consealed radio with Ipod conector, Mustang 2 suspension 2" dropped spindels, 10 bolt Chevy rear axle, New repro radiator, 2 speed Lucas wiper motor & screen washer, full SS steel exhaust with Porter mufflers. This 35 Truck was truly the best Rod Ive built & believe me it was sad to have to let her go. There was no way I could have paid for todays price of gas & here in England the powers that be will just keep jackin it up till ordinary Joe Soap can`t aford an ordinary car never mind about a Hot Rod. I just couldn`t bring myself to fit a 4 banger or Diesel, a Hot Rod has to have the raw power of a V8 especially the beautifull SBC or a Flathead V8........Thank for all your kind comments guy`s they warmed the ****els of my heart......Cheer`s Bri
