Event Coverage 2nd Cruise-in & Carry-Out North of Dayton Ohio

Its that time! Time for the 2nd Wolf Creek Cruise in & Carry out of the season!
The first time was a blast! We had a freakishly strong 2 year old performing feats of strength, a parrot, and Johnny Ray(what more could you ask for)! Lets try to grow this thing!

As usual cold beer and snacks are available from the carry-out, and my wife claims to be running a grill for some hot dogs or something of that nature incase you get the munchies!

Open to all makes of cars, bikes, trucks, tractors, trikes...and I'm sure I left out some other form of wheeled transportation that would be welcome!
Its just minutes from I-70, and about 15-20 minutes from West-Carolton, Miamisburg, Centerville area if you take the Diamond Mill back way! Even Middletown is only about 30 min if you navigate the Diamond Mill route!

25 Days and counting...I found some pieces to make the new running trophy...The propietors choice will be awarded to 1 car and at the next cruise in and carry out the winner will select who's name goes on the trophy next...The winner from the 1st show was bigblockstlyline's chevy. So he will be awarding the next winner this time! We'll mount a picture of the last winner to the trophy and or engrave their name on it! Maybe a peoples choice too! I'll offer a PBR to the winner!

Cool I'm trying to whip up a couple trophy's this week, but I've been slammed at work lately and my vacation days got shot down so we'll see how that shakes down! Either way looking foreward to it!

Well Finally got a trophy together...nothing like wating till the last minute! bigblockstyline will be choosing the next winner to be added to the trophy and it will remain on display at the carry out till the next cruise in and carry out!

My son however is not really to cool with me attaching my old toy to a trophy!

Today's the day!

 

BTTT for the last time! They ordered extra PBR tall boys to get us through this hot evening! Well be there past dark partying so come on out!

 

OK another post to change the ***le to reflect the urgency of today being the day!

 

Well obviously we got rained out! I made rolled out at around 4pm, and almost got blasted by flying trash cans, and falling limbs but made it ok! After I got south of 70 it was just rain! Alot of it however! But I sat and drank beers till it cleared up and made sure no one was gonna show up, however one really clean 4 door pontiac ran through the carry out, and took off! Were gonna re-schedule for some Fri or Sat in the 2 or 3 weeks after the 4th, I'm not gonna go up against Goodguys next weekend so any suggestions are welcome!

 

I had good intentions on coming up but mother nature had other plans.

 

After it cleared up I came out but no one was there and the carryout had no power,did not bring any of my good old cars out but was driving my iffy weather old car.

 

I appreciate it guys! I would have hung around longer but over here in West-Milton it was really ugly and I had to make sure the house and trees were intact! We'll have to figure out a good day! On a positive note I will say that my car handled some very adverse weather with no problems!

 

It's hot it's windy o **** it's pouring. Sorry I didnt make it but I will at next one!!

Taking suggestions for the next date! Any opinions on Friday vs. Saturday?

 

Saturday would be best for me.

 

Ok I was looking at upcoming car shows and cruise ins and it would be short notice but next Saturday and Sunday Aug. 4th and 5th don't have a whole lot going on in the way of hotrod shows. The week after that Friday and Saturday Aug 10th and 11th. dont' look too bad. So far I'm with junkyardjeff on scheduling it for Sat afternoon/evening and we could use Sunday as a rain date!

So what does everybody have planned for Saturday the 11th? That should give me some time to get some flyers hung around town and spread the word!
