So I was walking the dog and saw this old home that has been vacant for a few years. Found out that the banked owned it, so I walked around to check out the place I kinda want to buy it but we will see what the bank wants for it? There was a guy cleaning the place up that's how I got the info. Anyhow I walked into the garage and found these just sitting there and I asked the guy what are you going to do with these old parts? He said take them that look like junk! I have no use for it so I'm offering them up for free to anyone who can use it, but you must be an alliance member or old school hamber or senior member. Sorry fng just the way I'm keeping it. Looks like a transaxle and looks kinda new. I want it to go to someone who can use it not someone looking to collect parts. Rather see it used then in the s**** pile.
So, BC, I haven't been around long enough to be deserving of these parts? Is that what you are saying? Should I spend all afternoon every day chiming in on every thread so I can get my post count up and therefore become an expert and be deserving of an offer like this? Too bad there's not someone in your neighborhood that's just as big an *** as you that could shove those parts where they belong. This kind of BS gets old. Bud
^^^^You could have been here a week and he would have given then to you, if YOU were an alliance member...no good deed goes unpunished
??????? Sometimes email don't get through and a pm may not have gone through until you close the page and open it again.
WOW! i'm thinking he's like me,my other site we get new guys that come in & beg for stuff or buy our stuff cheap & put em on ebay or C/list--I've had that **** happen to me a couple of time & it really pisses me off..But on the other hand i can see your side of that comment,(maybe not the last part) P/S I'm not saying you would do that-but it happens!
someone please say a big thank you to Big creep, for at least thinking of fellow hambers rather that thinking ebay. Thank you Big creep, and no I did not want or need those, and won't be getting them. What a guy you rock
wow ! really relax, and eat the cookie that was offered and have gl*** of milk to wash it down with.... If you were a Alliance member , they could have been yours... Your really coming off as the a** here guy, which is sad to read... just my 2 cents... really a shame your giving him grief about this.
Well, I gotta say that I'm sorry. Shouldn't have written that last part. It just struck a nerve and pissed me off. I'm cooled off now, and again, I apologize to the OP or anyone else I've offended. I have/had no use for these parts, as I have enough quickchange stuff on the shelf, and I think it's great this guy offered the parts up to someone who can actually use them. The thing is, the sport of seeing who can come up with the most clever remark or putdown for a 'FNG' gets kind of tiresome. If the guy didn't do an intro or whatever, help him by telling him what he needs to do. I've been on this forum quite while now, and I post very little, but read and learn a lot. My post count has nothing to do with my reason for being here or how much I know about this hobby or cars in general.
I'm not Kreskin, but I doubt this was a dig against FNG's. we read about lots of scams in the cl***ifieds that come from members that just joined. So I am guessing he wanted it to go to an "end user" not a resaler.? Going back to your status, if I was looking at your stats, the total years override the low post count. jmo
Thanks for offering them up here, Big Creep. I hope to do the same someday if I come across something to offer. Best regards.
ok guys i did a hat drawing and had my girl pick the name, hitchhiker got it. pay shipping and its yours. sorry fng looks like you have been here awhile but its not about post counts, its about how many scammers are fng ***le **** hambers over. hitchhiker pm your address so i can tell you what it will cost to get to you, and it you dont use them please give it to the next guy who will use it. i have no use for it so i though of some one on the hamb could need it. funny i try to do some thing nice and i get **** for not letting the fngs play. hahaha funny how life works.
This is just a WAG, but I have a hunch what that might be. It looks alot like the piece that was used on the McKee USRRC cars to convert a T-10 to a transaxle. NOT saying thats what it IS, saying thats what it looks like, thats is where I would start looking, early-mid sixties USRRC sports racers.
And I would start my investigation here. Pretty sure that part has nothing to do with quick-changes, and very little to do with what most would think of as hot rods... http://www.iwestsus***.co.uk/profile/295196/Lancing/Chatsworth-Engineering-Services-Ltd/
