I went 3.5 (see my avitar and album) but I wish I would have went more or none at all.

I would never guess that a 34 could fit into the back of a van.....thats pretty cool

Mine's about 5.5" -ish... with heavily leaned A pillars. I used Kiwi Kev's tech as a guidline when doing the deed. It's a lot of work, but worth it.

I was going to say either 3" or not at all. In my opinion hammer chops make the body look squished.

    None. 33-34s are perfect.

Mine is 4" all the way around. It looked like maybe a bit much when I did it, but now the car is almost done, I wish I would have gone maybe another 1/2....

That is a reeealy nice body you have....my only advise is to have the body as structuraly solid as you can with the body bolted to the frame and the doors fitting in the hole before you chop it.

    Good luck, -Abone.

    4" on a '33/'34 is perfect.

Before you make the final decision to chop, you should think about a couple of things. The first is your height. The second is what seats you plan to use. Both factor in to whether a chop is practical, and how much it should be.
I am 6 feet tall and barely fit in my 34 coupe with a 3.5 inch chop and a stock bench seat. If I used a more modern bucket seat, it would give more head clearance. So instead I just lean forward and try to look cool like John Milner did driving that deuce coupe around.
