Found some old panties in the back of an o/t Mustang once. I think I used a stick to pick them up and toss them. Nasty. Other than that, just some old Bic lighters and unremarkable coins from before I was minted.
years ago found a bag full of vhs tapes in the 1/4 panel of a 67 GTO up above rear wheel well I had just purchased... brought them in the house and played one - vintage porn - afros, hairy armpits and all... left it in the vcr for the wife to find - and thats another story all together....

In 1962 I bought a 33 Ford coup in Eastern Oregon in a town called Dale. When I got it home and started working on it, under the seat was a 3 1/2 foot rattle snake skin. I don't know where the rattler went after shedding the skin but I can tell you work on the car went real slow after that find. I sold the car 2 years ago and still have the skin hanging in the shop as a reminder to watch for the unexpected.
I remowed the back seat in a 65' Volvo Amazon i had a couple years back, And found a poster from Jehovah witness that said - Go to church next sunday OR GO TO HELL!
I was helping a buddy restore a VERY abused 58 Vette a few years ago. Had been torn apart and sitting in a Chicago area garage for years. Of course every car has a story behind it. The one on this car indicated it had spent most of its early life in the Middle East where it's owner was stationed in the service (think Iran). Anyway, we figured that was all probably baloney. When I took the gauge housing apart to do the gauges there was this funny looking writing inside that turned out to be Farsi. Translated, it said "Daniel's Repair Shop, Sheriza St. Tehran, 2/12/70". Then to top it off when we turned to body over some Iranian coins, a weird key and a bunch of sand fell out of the rocker cavity. All that kind of changed our take on that story! We named the thing Ayattolah's Revenge from that point on. I found an un opened Schlitz pull top can and a 1969 playboy under the back seat of a 51 Dodge 2dr I picked up at an auction it was a military vehicle at some time in its life Navy Gray had numbers in glove box and faded star and numbers on the door, this was way back before it was cool to do this stuff @1980 so I am sure it was a real Navy car.
We found this under the original seat in our Model A Coupe. It's from an old brewing company that was in Lowell, Mass. It's now living on my key chain until the car is done and then it will be permanently on the coupe's key ring. very cool

Twelve inch Bowie knife lodged between emblem nuts on the underside of the front fender, ready for easy access...apparently the car had been used for "security" as it had a hole for the whip antenna on front fender, lights in the grille and an old police type radio mount on the dash... R-
Found a very rare and collectable hood ornament in a '34 Ford that paid for the cost of the car when we sold it (ornament, not the car).
BOTH!!! and there was a faint hint of shame in the air as it left my sphincter ya want detail...........it was one of those hot,soft and fluffy beer shits that go on and on and on and on like a soft serve ice cream machine and teh hadles broke lucky in one of those guys who brings a roll of t.p in my tool box "just in case" used up the whole thing and still had bar codes in my boxers when i got home!
1955 Chevy BelAir: A nickel, 2 pennies, and a small firecracker. 1956 Chevy wagon: A 1960s waxed paper McDonald's cup and a coupon for a car wash in Seattle from the same era (phone number had an alpha prefix). The car had been in storage since 1967. 1978 Mercedes: 5-volume shop manual set. 1969 Lincoln: 3 pennies taped together and used as a shim for the left rear arm rest (the car had been hit from the side at one time and the interior panels didn't line up too well). 1967 Cadillac DeVille: A Snap-on 9/16 combination wrench behind the inner wheel well and a liquified mouse in the windshield washer tank (stank to high heaven).
I have had loose ammo around for ages, but the only one that ever went off on me was a .22 rimfire loose in a toolbox behind the seat of a bouncy truck. Scared me good. Didn't hurt anything though. Without a barrel to capture the pressure, the bullet can't build up much speed.
Found a 15/16 old script snap on combo wrench under the battery on my first truck, an O/T 79 Chevy Truck... Hooking up the lights and saw something shiny... real good find.. Taking the seats out of a 82 Malibu and found a Bob Dylan edition Zippo Lighter... still works too.. In a 84 Chevy truck cab found enough change to buy supper that night for my dad, brother, and I. We've found a lot of stuff in cars considering we've bought over 150 vehicles in the last few years that we still have. Dude, .22 shells scare you? I pull those apart by hand and throw the powder in fires when we party... and I have probably at least 10 of em rolling around on the floors and 100 or more on the seat of each truck I drive(4 different trucks) and I always carry a loaded gun right next to me... 22 shells aren't scary when they're loose like that...
I found a copy of catcher in the rye stuck in the springs under the front seat of my grandparents 55 plymouth,in 2003.No one knew why.
