Hey guys, been lurking here for a while and figured I would finally introduce myself! I have been into cars and trucks for years, and started helping my pop when I was 8 or 9. At 10 or so, I was doing brake jobs with his supervision. At 14, got my first car, a 1968 Firebird, which has survived my high school years and undergone many personas. It has been sitting for the last 10 years or so while I have been mustering up the courage to try body work. Figure another year and I will hopefully have the nerve! Fast forward to a few years ago when I started helping a friend of mine build up his 50 Chevy 3100. It started as a simple tune and update of the truck and ended up with a whole new build with very few original pieces left. Every time I would google a question about the 235 transplanted in it, the answer was likely to be found here, so I got familiar with the H.A.M.B. For Father's Day, my wife and kids surprised me with a rust free clean 1954 Dodge Royal. The interior is clean and almost everythig works. I was able to trace the history and it has always been a local car. It has a 241 Hemi and Power Flite trans. The engine fired up and ran so smooth, especially considering it sat for years. My kids are waiting to work on it with me when I get home from work and my wife is digging it! (Cannot say that about most other cars or trucks I have owned). Sorry for rambling, and I look forward to learning a lot more from you guys!
Hey guys, thanks for all the welcomes, makes a guy feel.....welcome! I am slowly settling in and trying not to burn out the rest of the family with another project (a first for me)! Oh, and of course, Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!
