Hey guys, I'm building my first bike and was wondering if 3" of ground clearance is too little. This is clearnace from the ground to the bottom rails of the frame. Any suggestions on proper clearance for a bike that will be ridden on all southern cali freeways?

Take a bike with 3 inches of ground clearance and lean it on its side until the frame hits. Now take into consideration footpegs or platforms. Also consider exhaust. Is this something you're actually going to be able to ride and make leaning turns, or on your first corner is your peg going to dig in until it polevaults you into traffic. I had a '68 Santee gooseneck frame with a '77 CB550 motor and it had like 6-7 inches of clearance and still s****ed my pipes like crazy. If you're starting from scratch, take function into consideration as well as aesthetics.
